How to play

Plan: spell words from your letters and tap a lane to place each one. Tap a placed letter (or the lane with no word spelled) to take a word back.
Read the enemy: red cards show its words for this round, with their power ⚔. Block them, or push an open lane. When both sides have words in a lane, a box shows the matchup: green = you're favored, yellow = close, red = outmatched. On Normal and Hard the enemy may shift one word to another lane after you hit FIGHT.
Units: 3 Scout ▲ (fast raider) · 4 Knight ● · 5 Brute ■ · 6 Giant ⬢ · 7+ Titan ★. Gold rune letters J Q X Z make ranged units.
Win: break any 2 enemy towers to drop the core's shield, then destroy the core. One unit alone can take at most ¾ of a tower per battle. A core can lose at most 60% of its health per battle. From round 11, Overtime: towers and cores take +25% more damage each round.
Win fights: when your units kill an enemy word you capture one of its letters (purple ⚔ tile next round, up to 2). Wipe out the enemy in a lane you're fighting over for a Breakthrough: your survivors there hit towers and cores 1.5× for the rest of the battle (not a core whose shield only just dropped). Units get stronger every round. Survivors carry over, but units camping in their own half tire: −25% max health each round, so a big defender fades if you keep pressure on it.
Bonuses: use every letter for a ✦ Clean Sweep. Unused letters charge your ⚡ ability. Touch ✦ orbs first for Rune tiles. Kills level you up.
Tools: 💡 shows a word you can make (3 per game). ↻ swaps your letters once per round.
